What their label says...

Debut double A-sided single from Belfast quartet, And So I Watch You  From Afar. A limited edition [300] clear vinyl seven, with spot silver finish ink on sleeve [all the elements shown as white on the JPEG are actually silver ink]. Includes the live favourites 'Set Guitars to Kill' and 'A Little Bit Of Solidarity Goes A Long Way'. Danceable, catchy and groove driven, they bring the ruckus like an instrumental Rage Against The Machine with the heart to match. ASIWYFA are a grinding, booming lurching riff piston with explosive power and mathematical precision. This four piece instrumental juggernaut from Belfast hit the scene in a big way in 2008, they sideswiped us straight out of leftfield flying the flag for the Northern Irish music scene and becoming new standard bearers for the Do It Yourself (and for Do It For Others) ethos. Their debut EP 'This Is Our Machine' was so magnificently realised and powerfully executed that they received widespread critical praise. ASIWYFA have won accolades such as Huw Stephen’s Album of the Week, 4Ks in Kerrang!, 10/10 from BBC Radio One, Band Of The Year from Across The Line, inclusion in the Top Ten Northern Irish Songs of our lifetime from AU Magazine, glowing reviews in the NME and inclusion in Top 50 Albums of '08 and Ones To Watch '09 in Rock Sound. Live performances have been described by the press as "stunning", "unmissable" and "a tear-jerking experience". The band rise above musical ghettos and incorporate diverse influence from Hip Hop, Calypso, Irish Folk, Ethiopian Jazz, and Rune Metal. Their delicate minutiae of fidgeting rhythms and dream state melodies get steam-rollered by a colossal sonic barrage of apocalyptic proportions. Having been only together since 2006, this ambitious foursome have managed to build not just their own reputation to towering heights but also that of an entire whole city. This is their machine and it certainly doesn’t look like anything can stop it. Their self-titled debut album is due for release on Smalltown America on April 13th 2009. “If the apocalypse is televised, these guys will provide the soundtrack” 10/10 BBC RADIO ONE / “the album is set to drop, we’ve heard it and it’s awesome, so there” Rock Sound - Ones To Watch 2009 / “the sound of someone crashing an oil tanker through Sigur Ros’ ice flow” – NME / “really rather special... It’s rare for a body of work to be so dreamy and elegiac yet conversely monstrously heavy... sounds like the end of the world” KKKK - KERRANG!
