Onra is a big hip hop bastard you know. I loved that Chinoiseries album he did a while back. Here's a 7" he did a while back which we've only just got called 'My Comet'/'Shhhhhh' on the All City label. It's part of their 7x7 series. The A side is a bit smooth for my tasting. There's a dash of Scott Herren in this souly funk hip hop thing but it's very smooth indeed. I prefer some peanuts in my butter if you get my meaning? The flipside 'Shhhhhhhh' has a bit more meat about it. Jerky instrumental hip hop with some wicked synth noises. There's something about it which reminds me of Flying Lotus and I reckon if you're a fan of said Lotus you'll more than likely be happy with this hard piece of throbbing 7 inch action.
