The Answering Machine release their new single, ‘Cliffer’, on the 9th March through brand new indie label, Heist or Hit Records. It is taken from their forthcoming debut album, ‘Another City, Another Sorry’ to be released in May. With previous sold out 7"s on Regal Records (fastest ever selling Regal Singles Club release) and High Voltage the single and following album are hugely anticipated by an ever growing fan base
 Having spent the end of 2008 locked-up in remote North Yorkshire with Manic Street Preachers’ producer Dave Eringa, working on their eagerly awaited debut album, Manchester citygazers The Answering Machine return with this belting new single.
Retaining their trademark for gloriously affecting art-pop, ‘Cliffer’ is delivered with a confident, meatier punch and a strong call to arms for the anxieties and dilemmas of their own generation.
