Syntheme is UK artist Lou Wood A.K.A Global Goon (so not a lady at all then), one of the first to press tracks for the excellent Rephlex records. Syntheme tends to keep it pretty low key but has found the time put out three (of which this is the third) awesomely squelchy slabs of acid techno for the equally commendable Planet Mu records. This third volume is particularly squelchy and is very much to my liking. 'The Wave' races along at breakneck speed whilst tracks like 'Frackz' really remind of the mid paced, funky acid numbers favored by Rephlex head honcho and super nutter Aphex Twin. 'Eqxq' and 'Aap' both verge on break beat with layers of vocal samples and 80's synth stabs. The second side totally kicks off and the production is really lively! I urge you take a listen and get involved, Vol.3 is a strong release in my opinion. Also keep an eye out for the new full length L.P 'Lazers n Shit' also available on Planet Mu.

What their label says...
* Syntheme Vol.3 brings six tracks of classic acid techno vibes. Screaming 303 bass and action & packed analogue drums. It’s enough to make anyone want to reach for the lasers and a great taster of the album. If you liked VOL.2 you will love VOL.3. * Tracklist A1: Morkands, XWC, AA9 B The Wave, Frackz, Eqxq
