· In the last decade, forgotten Italo disco heroes such as
Danielle Baldelli and Beppe Loda have finally started
getting the attention they long deserved.
· Over the last few years, Beppe's name has walked out of
the history books and back into nightclubs and record
collections as Scandinavian nu disco playas in particular
started paying respect, with his DJs sets and ‘Typhoon
Edits’ series popping up all over the underground.
· People in The Sky have licensed Beppe's 1984
production, Egotrya's Volcano, a widescreen, synth
driven, drama-filled workout that comes from some past
future, best heard booming out of a souped up Delorean.
· Belgian duo Revolving Eyes have upped the tempo with
a driving Italo bassline and long intro, not necessarily in
that order, and Irish deep space explorer John Daly
takes up the controls for a reworking, and delivers a
sublime slab of rolling, cosmic dub disco.
