What their label says...

While working on his upcoming full-length Slow Dance [KLP197] (to be released in spring ’09), there was an icicle-caked excitement that resulted in a snow-flurry of extra recordings. The cozy, insulated vibe of Olympia, Washington and Dub Narcotic Studio took hold and Jeremy, along with Ilya Malinksy (guitar), Nick Pahl (drums) and Derek James (bass) crafted “Love Everlasting” [KLP202] .  These extra songs, recorded with a fiery compulsion, were written in Jeremy’s Los Angeles apartment and expanded in studio. The song “Lite Beam” took shape with a solarized hi-hat and synth bass – a real disco dance cut; “Jet Stream,” has that special synth bass that propels it to a dance floor climax, and the single itself, “Love Everlasting,” twinkles magnificently with a sensual glide. Jeremy Jay and his band have toured extensively across the U.S.A., Europe and Australia in support of his recent album A Place Where We Could Go [KLP187] and will be reacquainting the U.S. with their icy soundscapes after the release of this release. “Part poet, part '50s teen idol and part ghost, Jeremy Jay [takes listeners to] a place where girls have fairytale looks and candied apples are served for lunch, where dreams, fantasies and movies collide, and where Gene Vincent, Buddy Holly, Morrissey and Alan Vega are loved equally. It's no surprise that Jay calls his hometown of Los Angeles ‘the City of Angels’ -- he's a true romantic and sensualist, transforming his surroundings into a glamorous, magical reality.”
