What their label says...

Hailing from New Jersey, Titus Andronicus will release their incredible self-titled debut single on 1st December on Merok.

Featuring Patrick Stickles (vocals/guitar/keyboard/harmonica), Andrew Cedermark (guitar/keyboard/vocals), Ian Graetzer (bass), Eric Harm (drums) and Ian O’Neil (guitar/vocals), Titus Andronicus formed in 2005 and take their name from the William Shakespeare-penned revenge tragedy of the same name. The band have built up a considerable live following in the US, having toured continuously there over the course of the year with the likes of Foals, Yo La Tengo, Los Campesinos! and are about to embark on another US tour with No Age.

Taken from their debut album ‘The Airing Of Grievances’ (due for release on Merok / XL on 9th February 2009), ‘Titus Andronicus’ is a raucous three minute blast of US punk that shows the band at their thrilling, exuberant best, along with the anthem-in-the-making chorus “There’ll be no cigarettes / No more having sex / No more drinking till you fall on the floor / No more indie rock / Just a ticking clock / YOUR LIFE IS OVER!”
