The Distant noise label makes its first foray into 7" vinyl with a Air Formation single that's proper hazy. 'Things That Don't Exist' is jam packed with emotion and for a moment I was reminded of a less raw Jesu. There's plenty of fuzz here for you fuzz faces. Brian is on holiday this week but he's popped in to declare that the flipside 'Fires' really reminds him of late period Field Mice "especially the vocals and basslines" If you dug their release on Club AC30 then you should check this out.

What their label says...

Air Formation take a break from recording their fifth album to release a new 7'vinyl single 'Things That Don't Exist' b/w 'Fires'.

Their first release for Bristolian label Distant Noise (and following on from a recent sold out 7' on Club AC30), 'Things...' is another epic feedback/echo drenched journey into the realms of underground psych-rock. From the ominously hazey intro to the fuzzed-out layers exploding into a distortion-fest chorus, this is the soundtrack for the day the Sussex South Downs decides to encase itself in a huge glass dome and blast off into space, a la 'Silent Running'.

While live shows are few and far between in the past two years they've been invited to support the likes of Sebadoh, Efterklang, Longview, The Wrens, Circle, Slipstream, House Of Love and Asobi Seku, with a European tour being lined up for early Spring '09 (should they feel up for it).
