Here's a Je Suis Animal 7" out on Cloudberry Records called 'Painted In My Face'. This label specialise in indie pop from around the world and here's some British indie pop taking its cues from Sunny Sundae Smile era My Bloody Valentine, Lush and maybe a bit of Heavenly as well. Nice blissful indie pop with fuzzy guitars and female vocals that will make you feel all fluffy like!!

What their label says...

Je Suis Animal mix late 80's indie with a generous dose of 60's psychedelia, a spoonful of naive melody
and a pinch of girly harmonies into their magic potion. The result is magical, striking and uncannily
beautiful. Having met at art school in the UK, the band settled in Oslo, Norway in 2004 and began forging
a sound inspired by their love for dreamy melodic pop and all the best bits of their art degree.
In March 2008 Je Suis Animal were interviewed in the UK music magazine Plan B. Tom Robinson and Steve Lamacq have played songs from their album on their BBC Radio shows – Lamacq commenting, "this is one of those engaging records you come across".
The 7” was engineered by Steinar from cult Oslo indie pop band The Tables. You heard them right? Their first album Shady Whims & Obstacles is a classic, and if you don't know it, you're in for a treat, it's like a cross between The Television Personalities and Sgt Pepper. We recorded at Spendless Studio in Oslo on analogue tape. Lots of good records have been made there (early Serena Maneesh EPs, Beautiful People (now called 120 Days), Ethnobabes, etc.

LIVE
Je Suis Animal has played shows with The Clientele, Enon, The Ladybug Transistor, Serena Maneesh, Still Flyin', Ungdomskulen, The Wave Pictures, Martin Carr, and recently finished a two week tour of the UK with a show at Madame Jo-Jo's in London, supporting Love Is All.
