I like these double 7" gatefold things, they make me feel like a giant handling a tiny LP. Peggy Sue and The Pirates have done one called The First Aid EP but I strapped it to Brian's leg after I stabbed him and the blood didn't stop so it's kind of false advertising. On the surface this one's a harmless, clattery acoustathon but it does have it's sinister side, demonstrated in the body-obsessed lyrics.. We reckon it's a bit like an earthier, more indieish Cocorosie. It's pretty cool and limited to 500!

What their label says...

The First Aid EP is the second in a series of EPs by Brighton/London based anti-folk heroes Peggy Sue (previously known as Peggy Sue & The Pirates).  Released via London-based independent record label, Broken Sound Music, and co-produced by Steven Ansell of Blood Red Shoes, Peggy Sue follow up their last EP (The Body Parts EP) with 5 stunning new tracks, a UK tour with support from Alessi and Derek Meins, and a support tour with the incredible Jeremy Warmsley.  This double 7” gatefold release has artwork by Benjamin Phillips and is strictly limited to only 500 copies
