You know, I knew these Lowline fuckers were from Manchester two seconds into this track even though this is the first I've ever heard of them. It's really clearly in that whole Manc indie rock tradition that's emerged since Oasis shat themselves out of their own arseholes and on to the hosepipe clean doorstep of the world. You'll probably know from that whether you're going to like this or not. Oh yeah, 'Sound of Music'.

What their label says...
The second release from Lowline, the band touted as “arguably the most exciting new band to have emerged from Manchester in recent times” - The Guardian. ‘Sound of Music’ is a timeless indie anthem, the second yield from Lowline’s own youthful and uplifiting brand of rock and roll. It combines big spacey guitars, addictive melodies and an unforgettable chorus to create a thoroughly significant record, reinforcing The Verve guitarist Nick McCabe’s opinion that Lowline make “timeless music like noone else can at the moment”.
