Matt Helders (which one he?) from the Arctic Monkeys does one if those Late Night Tales things. Taken from it is a 7" containing Arctic Monkeys version of 'Dreamer'. You'll know the tune. Actually its not the Arctic Monkeys at all its Matt with some mates but the name Arctic Monkeys features bigger than anything on the sleeve so you may be tricked into buying it thinking that little Alex is getting his Sheffield vowels around this old cheese-house tune ('I'm a dreeeeeemeeeeeeeeeeerr!'). He doesn't. Its just kind of a facsimile of the original. All in all its completely and utterly pointless. Alex himself pops up on the B-side with a spoken word thing which gives the idea that theres a future career for him as some kind of Alan Bennett/Simon Armitage cross breed.

What their label says...
Both tracks have been taken from the forthcoming ‘Late Night Tales: Arctic Monkeys’ compilation, an album which blends US and UK hip hop, dirty rock ‘n’ roll, electro and soul to create a soundtrack of what you might hear at their house as they’re winding down after a night out. ‘Dreamer’ is Matt Helder’s version of the Livin’ Joy Classic featuring Nesreen Shah whilst ‘Choice Of Three’ is a spoken word piece written and read by Alex Turner. Available on limited edition 7” vinyl (1500 copies).
