I was pretty surprised when I found out Jack White was doing the Bond theme with Alicia Keys. 2 folks from opposite ends of the musical spectrum and I didn't think either of them were the sorts who'd do this. Anyone remember Big Chief on Sub Pop? They had an album called 'Face' which was this soul rock hybrid which had it's moments but I heard it recently and thught it sounded like a load of cheese. Well this reminds me of that... OK, it's got some orchestral moments and it's a weird song which is totally un Bond ish. Still reminds me of Big Chief though and there are some inexcusable guitar moments on there which make me cringe. It lasts forever as well.... it's a modern rock soul opera.... In fact I'm pretty sure this song doesn't actually end which is a first... it just goes on and on....The best thing about 'Another Way to Die' is the over the top sleeve with a macho picture of Daniel Craig with the biggest gun I've ever seen outside of Quake.
