What their label says...

Antony & The Johnsons emerged onto the international stage in 2005 with their breakthrough ‘I Am A Bird Now’.  It won the Mercury Prize that year, achieved Album Of The Year in OMM & Mojo, Top 10 most other places as well as 5 stars in nearly every review.
Since then Antony has worked on tracks with Bjork on her latest album "Volta", appeared in the Leonard Cohen doc "I'm Your Man", featured as vocalist with Hercules & Love Affair, recorded for the Todd Haynes biopic of Bob Dylan "I'm Not There", & collaborated with Charles Atlas on their stage spectacle "TURNING".
The Another World EP is a beautiful introduction to their new material.  Antony’s inimitable voice, mesmerizing piano and intimate arrangements punctuate the ideas on the EP.
The environmentally conscious title track, “Another World”, finds Antony singing of a disappearing world.
“Shake that Devil” showcases his bluesy wail and a driving vintage R&B beat that illustrates the lyrics’ ferocity.
Two other songs, "Crackagen" and "Sing For Me" are pastoral and surreal.
Finally the epic "Hope Mountain" closes the EP, an episodic narrative set after a flood; people gather on a mountain to witness the emergence of a luminous girl.
The cover features a startling portrait of Japanese Butoh co-founder Kazuo Ohno, who is 101 years old and still alive today.  Taken by Pierre-Olivier Deschamps in 1984.
