Ex Jack man Anthony Reynolds has teamed up with Vashti Bunyan and Charlotte Greig on this catchily-titled 7" which they've called 'Bees Dream Of Flowers & Your Summers Meadow Breath (False Knights & Your Satyr Days)'. Phew.. You'd think they migh have run out of words after coming up with that but they've scraped a few more out of the barrel to put inside the three tracks. The Vashti Bunyan job is predictably the lead job what with her being folk royalty and that, her distinctive ghostly wails make the track quite reminiscent of something you might hear on a David Lynch soundtrack being sung by Julee Cruise.. The middle track is the weakest of the three I think, sounding a tad melodramatic, but the last track with Charlotte Greig brings things back up to speed with a soft guitar and horn fest. A lovely listen.

What their label says...
This a limited edition companion EP to ex-Jack main man Anthony Reynolds’ "British Ballads" album (released on Hungry Hill/Spinney - HHILL001CD) last December. "Just So You Know" has been reworked by Anthony Whiting (producer of M.I.A., Eugene McGuinness, The Mules) from the version on British Ballads with ethereal songstress Vashti Bunyan taking the lead vocal to sublime and atmospheric effect. "Like The Sun Feeds From Flowers" is a new song co-written with and co-sung by Charlotte Greig. Charlotte is a singer steeped in traditional English song who has released several albums to date and currently resides in Wales where Anthony is also based. She also put together the Lal Waterson tribute album "Migrating Bird" for the Honest Jon’s label last year."It Isn’t So" is a demo recording of a song that was initially intended to appear on British Ballads but somehow fell by the wayside. In fact there were several other such songs too which may well make it onto a British Ballads Demo Version one day.
