Golden Silvers sound like they should be on the soundtrack to GTA: Vice City, it's a total 80's throwback but in a kind of good way. There's a touch of Morrissey in his crooning, some appallingly cheesy synths and that weird sounding clunky cod-funk bass that couldn't sound more white it it tried. 'Arrows of Eros' is out on Young and Lost Club.

What their label says...

“Groove Gods, with pop melodies so potent it’s as if they’re seeping out of their pores” - Dazed
“Glorious three-part harmonies” - Time Out
“Blissful” NME download of the week
“The future looks increasingly bright for this London trio” – The Guardian

Tracks: a. Arrows of Eros / b. Fade to Black

Abandoning guitars in favour of drums, bass, Rhodes and Rubber Soul three-part harmonies, North London, three piece Golden Silvers stand out from the crowds with perfect pop sensibilities.

Having recently won the Glastonbury unsigned competition and having made many new fans at Radio 1’s recent Big Weekend (headlining the Introducing Stage), Golden Silvers release debut single Arrows of Eros on Young & Lost Club this July.

Like Peter, Bjorn and John’s Young Folks and Supergrass’ Alright, Golden Silvers announce themselves with a truly great summer single.

With it’s stabs of roistering keyboard and instantly infectious melody, Arrows of Eros (produced by Paul Epworth’s right-hand man, Mark Rankin), is reminiscent of Young Americans era Bowie with it’s wide eyed, romanticism and big choruses, led by lead singer Gwilym Gold with bass player Ben Moorhouse and drummer Alexis Nunez providing the sparkling harmonies.

The single’s other track, Fade to Black is no less arresting. Like a church organ driven Spiritualized paying tribute to Let it Be, Fade to Black is a lighters aloft, blue-eyed soul hymn.
