Only ever liked one song by CSS before and i'm buggered if I know what it's called. Modern indie pop slides off me like water off a duck's arse. As a taster for the new album we have 'Left Behind' which is a melodic pop song that'll no doubt get them plenty of MTV rotation. It's catchy, commercial & has the girl (Lovefoxx?) giving it her all with an addictive chorus about dancing her arse off. I'd like to be with her when she does that, then I can take her arse home and park it on my coffee table. I really like it for some reason. maybe i'm getting old....They can actually stick their version of 'Cannonball' where the sun don't shine, mind. It's utterly without merit purely because they've pulled out all the stops desperately trying to emulate the original production & Kim Deal's little unique tounge curls & intonations which just sucks in my book. Not as bad as Kerbdog's version of Kennedy by The Wedding Present though. That had me in tears. 2x7 + CDs

Produced by Adriano, and mixed by the uber-cool Spike Stent (Massive Attack / Gwen Stefani / Madonna / Bjork), it takes the explosive, slyly subversive CSS punk party blueprint we know and love, and injects it with a bigger, more expansive sound, a refined pop edge, and a deeper, darker, brooding undercurrent. The band have re-located to the UK for the rest of the year and are undertaking a busy promotional schedule as well as this year’s Festival circuit.
