I listened to The Hold Steady album this morning as it's been getting loads of hype and reviews everywhere. i wanted to know what the crack was. In a weird way I quite liked bits of it in a Buffalo Tom/ Bruce Springsteen kind of way. The new single is in which is another 1 sided etched limited thing called Sequestered In Memphis. Buffalo Tom is what it sounds like to me. Very American sounding college rock which is catchy and I can imagine folks getting into this. I have to say listening to it already makes me feel like my dad though and I'm not sure how much of a good thing that is.
