'Blackout' by The Whip has been dropped into the office like a rock onto a marooned fat kid who's lost his glasses and quite a tidy bit of electro-indie-pop it is too. The original version and the radio edit sound something like The Rapture being remixed by LCD Soundsystem, good time stuff that's a head-nodder and a toe-tapper. I likes it. Remixes across the three formats come from Ashley Beedle, Hadouken! and Graham Massey, who seems to be going remix keraaaayzee at the moment.

The Whip’s first single since the release of their debut long player ‘X Marks Destination’ and their first headline sell out UK tour.
The Whip are performing at Wireless, Glastonbury, Reading, V, Leeds, Isle Of Wight and Creamfields. The band will be on a US tour in July, with shows supporting The Breeders. The Whip have sold 10,000 albums in the UK.
