This is the first I've heard of White Denim.. I used to have some white jeans in my younger days, I wish I was that cool now. 'All You Really Have To Do' is decidedly retro bluesy, garagey rock and makes me think these guys have probably heard the MC5 once or twice, there's more than a hint of them in the energetic, gospel preacher man vocals. I reckon there's a bit of The Make-Up in here too, although they're missing anything on the level of Ian Svenonius' mental and brilliant lyrics to give them some kind of distinguishing feature. I'm enjoying the drums and the bass, which doesn't quite seem to fit in with the rest of their sound being quite clangy and post-punk sounding.. All in all, good clean fun. Sorry we got this one in a bit late, a bit of a boo-boo on our part but these ones we've got in are the last copies available from the distributor so if you want it now's the time!
