I've got a bit of a nagging soft spot for South. It's like those dirty burgers at fairgrounds.... something hideously wrong with them but I have join in the party sometimes. South have a new album out (came out a couple of weeks ago which I never heard) but I did find time to quickly whip on the new single called Wasted. This is rather tastefully packaged in black and gold and it's on gold vinyl. The vocals have a real 70's feel to it... in fact the piano in it is well 70's as well. It's just hit me.... it sounds like a cross between Badly Drawn Boy and ELO. I defy anyone to find a better comparison. It's not a bad tune as well. I kind of like it though I might have to have onions poured all over it.
