The moment the needle hits the 45 with 'Revolt' your ears are treated to a real upbeat beer spilling twanger of a tune. You may be familiar with this song from his recent 'Dr Ragtime' album. It's a jolly old number with the extra bonus of The Black Twigs adding harmonica and lapsteel into the mix. This total authentic bluegrass gear has been lovingly recorded with a real bright sound coming from all the strings.'Soft Steel Piston' is a similarly upbeat cut with a pure feelgood hoedown party vibe. I can just imagine folks going crazy and dancing around chucking ale and bourbon everywhere. Apparently this is Jacks personal favourite 45 so far.
