I've come down with a terrible cold which makes me feel like my head's been stuffed with cotton wool into every orifice... I'll crack on...with a seven incher from Montt Mardie with 'Set Sail Tomorrow'... man this is so Feelgood it's incredible. How can anybody be that happy. They must have been scoffing happy pills. It's a big happy tune with orchestral flourishes and a big brassy sound. Sounds. 'Castle In The Sky' begins whit a guitar and a dude whistling that makes me think of the scorpions. This collaboration with Jens Lekman is saved however with some very soulful male vocals and breezy acoustic guitar. All very polished and that. Not my bag but I'm not reaching for the noose just yet...

What their label says...

Set Sail Tomorrow
Castle In The Sky (Featuring Jens Lekman)

The third artist to release on Lucky Soul’s Ruffa Lane label is a star and Scandinavian MTV regular from releasing two highly acclaimed albums in his home country of Sweden, this is Montt Mardie’s (pronounced Mardeeay) debut single.
“A typically lavish indie soul arrangement, all striving pop horns and momentous flutes” - Pitchfork Media.
Single already played seven weeks upfront by BBC 6 Music’s Gideon Coe.   Head of Music at Radio 2 is a big fan of the song after initial play and confirmed for Radio 2 playlist meeting.    B-side features a duet with fellow Swede and Pitchfork darling Jens Lekman.
