Merzbow/ Sutcliffe Jugend/ Satori - Split

hahahahahaha. Someone just phoned up as I put this new Merzbow/Sutcliffe Jugend/Satori split CD on. The Merzman provides our first cerebral rinsing of the day with some jackhammer cyclic techno beat that sounds like the amplified workings of a water mill with a scree of filthy white noise shouting vomiting out of a window. 'feedyellow mix.1' definitely clears out the cobwebs but would probably clear a dancefloor too, quicker than a stink bomb. Sounds not unlike the recent Whitehouse stuff with a heavily manipulated afrobeat inspired tribal vibe but the noise is as caustic as ever. Mr Jugend sounds like he's drilling a radio in half whilst his pissed neighbour is singing a Fall song in the shower. Deliciously warped. Satomi's effort is a doomy, industrial & sinister thing that has all those chilling atmospheric slashings that bother your soul on hearing Black Metal records, like the ghosts of flayed torture victims. Really evil shit with a gravely subtle industrial drum pattern. An eclectic piece of dark noise fun!

Released on the occasion of Merzbow, Sutcliffe Jügend and Satori at ULU, London, 19th April 2008. Japanese Noise, Power Electronics and Fortean Electronics from these 3 giants of the Noise / Industrial scene, with one exclusive studio track from each act. This CD is presented in a full colour card slip and is shrinkwrapped. Limited to 1000 copies only - act fast!
