Well i've got The Hosts debut 7" called 'Wake Up' and really, really don't know what the hell to say. It's got all the boxes ticked, an anthemic, rousing feel, a catchy chorus, a couple of build ups, a foot tapping pace, lots of stadium shagging guitars & it's all over in two minutes. I'm probably not the man to do them proud but if you like singalonga generic radio indie rock with an obvious retro trajectory, a medium spiced britpop twang and some "good musicianship" , check HERE cos i'm stumped for words......On Not38 Records, Ltd 7" and that with no real sleeve to speak of but it's on "heavy wax"...according to Steven Powell.
This is ace. The hosts are a class act, heard them on Jonathan Ross and seen 'em live too. Wake up is as catchy as they come, B side is nice also. Retro sleeve and cool heavy plastic, nice, buy it.
