The Music - Strength In Numbers

Strength In Numbers by The Music

All the animals come out at night! All the animals come out at night! Strength In numbers - No one will come between us

Summer 2008. A new record from an original and exciting musical force…THE MUSIC.

Strength In Numbers, the bands third album, will be released through Yes Please / Polydor on June 16th 2008. The 12 track album, recorded in late 2007 by uber producers Flood (Killers / U2) and Paul Hartnoll (ex Orbital) has already set forums ablaze with news of one of the comebacks of the year. Consistently one of the most incendiary live bands in the UK, the Leeds-based band, released their much-acclaimed self-titled debut album in 2002 before following up with Welcome To The North, their second long player in 2004. Despite worldwide sales in excess of one million albums, headlining festivals as far a field as Japan and Australia and stadium shows alongside the likes of U2, Oasis and Coldplay, outside pressures took their toll on the band forcing them to reconsider life as The Music. Deciding they would “have to make an amazing record or bust” they holed up with Flood and Hartnoll in London’s Townhouse Studios coming up with their strongest album to date. Aggressive and confident, yet fresh and forward thinking, Strength In Numbers blends guitars and electronics to produce a sound that is sonically unlike anything else in 2008.
