Jamie Lidell - another Day

another Day by Jamie Lidell

Righto. Here's Jamie Lidell and his Soul Revue. 'Another Day' is the opener from his new LP 'Jim' and if I was a cynic I'd say this is the missing lead track from 'Sister Act' (thanks Ant) or some dismal nicey-nicey film about the joys of life and do-gooders and fake smiles and spilt milk. Or the new Jamiriqoui single or some such Stevie Wonder robbing travesty. But I actually think he has much more integrity than that. I think it's his obvious genius as a long standing producer that stands him above the pretenders. Yes he's got soul. We don't really NEED to hear this sound re-birthed for the Noughties but he's done it anyway and there's thousands of people out there that'd be totally moved by 'Little Bit of Feel Good', erm....just not us. I think he could even be the new Bill Withers given time......12"/CDs on Warp.

The CD includes an incredible new recording of former single ‘Little Bit of Feel Good’.    The 12” includes two energetic mixes of ‘Another Day’ from Rustie and Matthew Herbert.
