The Lay of the Land, The Turn of the Tide by Ox, Eagle. Lion. Man

5...according to our on Fri 06 Jun, 2008.

Also on Transgressive is a 5 track CD EP by Ox, Eagle, Lion, Man. The guys voice is fucking nuts... he sounds like Merman from He Man. There's something operatic about his voice which I quite like. In fact he's got one of those voices like the guy from the Wolfhounds which you'll either love or hate. Musically it's pretty smart.... quirky gear which makes us think of Nick Cave, The Cardiacs and possibly a bit of iLIKETRAINS (the vocals are terribly grand and powerful). A bunch of nutters says Brian but we think this is actually pretty cool. It doesn't really sound like anything else at the moment and it's quite original. The songs are all all over the shop with time signatures changing and unexpected things happening all over the shop. I think Transgressive might be finding their feet again!! The Lay of The Land is CD only....

TRACKLISTING: 1 These Are The Names, 2 Where Dead Voices Gather, 3 The Drowned & The Saved,
4 Hoof On Bone On Mud, 5 Thanatos,
