Debut release by Northern psych-prog-party band THE LAST PEOPLE ON EARTH. "Electric
Angel" is a varied, flowing, concept album of sorts, set in the near future about a boy who
can't feel. It combines the best of Pompei era Floyd with Brian Wilson vocal melodies.
Topped off with musichall whimsy and funk and electro flourishes this record has all the
hallmarks of a classic concept album, yet manages to sound utterly contemporary.
The band's gigs, as anyone who saw them play at Leeds Festival recently will testify, are
fun-fuelled psychedelic parties, like a budget version of the Flaming Lips live experience.
They will be playing a selection of dates to promote the album. Plans are afoot to include a
puppet show visual adaptation of the album's story to accompany the band's performance.
