What the label says:

Long awaited debut single from one of Brighton's most exciting and innovative bands. The Splendour, formerly Kingsomniac hooked up with Dan Swift, producer of Art Brut, Futureheads and Aqualung. The result - a diverse, upbeat and eccentric album overflowing with TUNES and not short on singles, the first of which is Audio The Splendour is the most recent incarnation of a band that has been brewing for 4 years. From the start in those bygone years when they were known as Kingsomniac they were getting very favourable reviews by local Brighton Press for their early quirky recordings and frenetic live set.  More recently they were described by Thomas H Green, (Q magazine and The Telegraph) as the next Kaiser Chiefs. Although the band may dispute the similarity! Other than that of being a guitar based riff driven band, Mr Green may have a point. The Splendour do not shy away from writing for their audience, a recent interview revealing that their live set was pretty much edited based on audience reaction. The result is a fast, incredibly hooky and brash set that is bound to win over the most staunch muso fascists of music critics.
Front man Justin Gourlay met Sam Beer-Pearce (drums) when Sam was still playing keyboards with The Pipettes alongside Joe Beaumont (Joe Lean and the Jing Jang Jong) He left The Pipettes pretty much immediately and they soon started as a three piece with Jordan Duggie, John Crick joining in 2006 making it four and Greg Houghton replacing Anthony Keegan on bass late 2007. Since then forty or so songs have been cut down to thirteen for the album Best Way To Make Money.
The band say things are just warming up - Audio, their debut single and Money, due for release in July were written in the same month the album was recorded.
