Rating: unmoved This record left our Phil feeling unmoved.

Over the last few Subtle albums I've gradually found them getting less and less enjoyable. Back in the days when they were more or less Themselves I was a bit of a fan and the early Subtle stuff was cool. The last album I didn't get at all.....and here's their brand new album Exiting Arm!! I don't like this. I think it's the rock guitars that put me off.... occasionally they wander off into Chilli Peppers territory and this album continues with more of that rock sound.... Fog traveled over to the rock side of things pretty successfully I though, Why? has mourned over to quirky college indie rock successfully 'n all.... I'm not sure what Subtle are turning into but I'm not enormously keen on it. Sorry lads.... I've played the album 3 times to see if it grows and I still don't like it!
