Also on Planet Moomin is a CD by Mrs Jynx called 'The Standoffish Cat' and it has a picture of a moggy on it . This is the work of Hannah Davidson and it really reminds me of early U-Ziq, especially the playful melodies. So much so in fact that you'd almost swear it was an alias. It's a pleasant enough listen with one track in particular standing out as being really lush. I can't remember the name of it though. It has some very pretty moments. It sounds like it's made by a lady cos it's all pretty and has a picture of a pussy on the front (Sorry I couldn't resist, I'm that childish).Achingly beautiful first album from mancunian songstress Hannah Davidson.
’The Standoffish Cat’ sits somewhere between IDM and Electronica, in a place all of its own.
Sounding not unlike an early - ziq, Mrs Jynx distills the evocative sound of a pastoral English summer via the medium of synthesisers.
