What we say This record left our Phil feeling happy. The Futureheads have a new single out called Radio Heart. That's nice.....You know the drill....by now if you don't know what the Futureheads sound like then you probably shouldn't be reading this. It's a decent enough catchy tune... plods along and they're starting to feel like a pet dog now. Probably the best thing I've heard by 'em in a while as most of the recent stuff has been a bit turgid. What the label says: Fresh off the back of their top 20 smash ‘The Beginning Of The Twist’, The Futureheads return with a new, even bigger single. Having won themselves a wealth of fans and supporters over their five years of making music together, The Futureheads have produced some of the most invigorating guitar-driven punk-pop this country has had to offer in decades. About the humble 7":

The humble 7" is the smallest of the vinyl formats (not including the ridiculous 5") and it's the perfect medium for transporting a couple of new songs by up and coming bands straight into your ears. They're fun and they take up less space in your house than something bigger would. They come in a plethora of exciting colours and fantastical packages, and you can fit about 14 minutes onto one 7". You may have to get up every few minutes to put a new record on but think of the exercise. Don't forget every record you buy plays at least 2 speeds (depending on your stereo) and you need to play all records on all speeds to get the maximum joy from your purchase.
