Attic Lights - God

Attic Lights release their new single for Island Records, God, on April 21st 2008. This follows the Glasgow based 5-piece’s debut single for Island, Never Get Sick Of The Sea, which was released in early February to a flurry of excellent reviews.

The single will be available on CD. Download and 7” and includes the B-sides as well as an acoustic cover of Mental As Anything’s "Live It Up".

The band, who have recently completed a number of shows around the UK, have also announced a further UK tour in March/ April. The dates include headline shows alongside support shots on The Delays & Scouting For Girls tours.

The band completed the recording of their debut album, Friday Night Lights, in Glasgow in the autumn of last year. Produced by Francis Macdonald of Teenage Fanclub (with additional strings courtesy of Bjorn Yttling of Peter, Bjorn & John fame), the album’s lush vocal harmonies and chiming pop perfectly reflect their love of The Beach Boys, Go-Betweens and Flaming Lips.

Formed just over two years ago the past couple of months have seen considerable support, particularly from the Scottish media where the likes of The Scotsman, BBC Radio Scotland and XFM Scotland have marked them down as one of the bands to watch for ’08.
