 This record left our Phil feeling ecstatic.
Here's a fantastic compilation CD.... It just came from nowhere. I'm not really fond of comps as a rule as most of 'em are full of chaff and there's inevitably too many songs on them I don't like. I find myself skipping and skipping through to the end of em in no time. 'We Are All Circling The Stars' is a double disc comp featuring the likes of Skygreen Leopards, Diane Cluck, Lone Pigeon, Thomas Broughton, King Creosote, Adrian Crowley, Hush Arbors, Yellow Moon Band, Laughing Windows, Benjamin Wetherill and lots more. It's really quite fantastic... some great singer songwriter gear on here, a bit of smashing folk.... some lovely 60's psyche pop which all fits together like your favourite outfit. Mmm... hat Lone Pigeon track.... All packaged in a lovely cardboardy thing as well. This is what I'd term as a great CD and I'm gonna take a copy of this home to play to the wife. I reckon she'll like it. Out on newcomer Cosmos Recordings!!

l’We Are All Circling The Stars’ mixes some more established artists with the musical talent of tomorrow and as such stands as an important document containing the cream of artists that walk the narrow forest path between singer/songwriter, wyrd-folk strangeness and beyond.
lAmong the highlights are:
- King Creosote -KC’s recently appeared on ’Later with Jools Holland’, has tracks included on popular TV shows such as ’Skins’ and has had the BBC turn up in his home town of St Andrews, Fife to film a documentary on him and the ’Fence Collective’ of which he is the founder.
- Diane Cluck - Diane’s ’Oh Vanille/Ova Nil’ album was voted #2 album of the year in Mojo’s underground albums of the year poll a couple of years back, recently artists such as Emmy The Great and Laura Marling have been citing
Diane as a major influence, Diane will be touring the UK in June.
- Lone Pigeon - AKA Gordon Anderson, original Beta Band songwriter, brother to King Creosote and front man of The Aliens has a cult following, this is the first Lone Pigeon material surfacing for some time. A real gem!
- Benjamin Wetherill - Having just returned from recording an album in Hungry with Jeremy Barnes of Neutral Milk Hotel/Hawk And A Hacksaw and a group of Hungarian folk musicians and a tour with Hawk And a Hacksaw in May, Ben is a one to watch this year.
- Beth Jeans Houghton - there is a lot of attention on Beth at the moment, with a single out in May on Twisted Nerve/Finders Keepers and Festival appearances lined up for the summer, Beth will be the name to drop by the
end of the year.
- Skygreen Leopards - a cult San Fran band who have been described as; "Exquisite" The Times, "the perfect cross between Dylan’s surrealist delivery and the sighing comedown of David Crosby’s "If Only I Could Remember My Name" - Uncut.
