Moving swiftly on from Free Kitten to Hot Puppies... I like the baby cats and dogs theme. I'd much rather be playing with puppies and kittens right now... So soft and cuddly wuddly. Our Phil couldn't do it though cos he's allergic to them... I really feel for him. My brother is allergic to rag worm blood but that's not all that bad.... So these lovely ladies are flying the flag for female welsh indie pop. 'Somewhere' makes me proud of my native land with that same Deborah Harry sound happening that The Long Blondes have. It's pretty polished sounding and very well put together. Welsh chicks rule.

Regularly compared to the likes of early Blondie and Kenickie, THE HOT PUPPIES also cite Devo and Add N to (X) as influences. A perfect
combination of scuffed pop and Riot Grrl dynamics, the band hail from Aberystwyth and are set to release their next single on Purr Records - limited
7" vinyl in full-colour sleeves (500 copies) and cd single.
