No matter what your taste in music, you can’t help but get drawn in to the modern country-rock sound of The Travelling Band. They combine lively musical energy with poetic lyrics and brilliantly clear vocal harmonies.

Originally from Manchester, the band has already made a name for themselves on both sides of the pond, dividing their time between gigs in New York as well as across the UK.

‘…a real pearl’, (Manchester Evening News)
‘Bursting at the seams with wistful, harmony-laden tunes’ (Metro)

There’s a great story behind The Travelling Band, and it all started in Brazil!

Guitarist Steve was playing some songs in his hotel room when he was overheard by a New Yorker called Richard Ross. Rich was so impressed by what he had heard that he arranged and paid for Steve and his musical buddies from Manchester to come to New York and record their music.

Rich sorted out a recording session at Cowboy Technical services, owned and run by Eric ‘Roscoe’ Amble and Tim Hatfield, The studio place that’s produced legendary acts like Steve Earle, Ryan Adams and Regina Spektor to name but a few.

Adam Gorman said, ‘When we arrived at the airport, Rich took us to the studio and introduced us to Eric ‘Roscoe’ Ambel, and Tim Hatfield…we slowly started to realise the extent of their involvement with New York music and the industry in general’.
