What we say

Rating: ecstatic This record left our Mingus Who? feeling ecstatic.

On to the dear Alison Goldfrapp who's looking all coy dressed as some sort of harlequinn.'Happiness' is four tracks across two CD's which includes mixes by Spiritualized and Yesayer. T'other CD includes the single version and acoustic version. The splendid looking picture disc, includes a Metronomy remix which features The Teenagers of all people. Well what does it sound like? kinda artfully stage managed, sultry and sexy electroid splurge that'll smash the upper reaches of the charts no doubt. Tough concept this happiness thing don't you think?

About the humble CD single:

Another digital format and even though they can hold 80 minutes of information (like a CD album would) record companies only fill up a small portion of the disc. Sometimes only 1 or 2 tracks on there totalling 5 minutes or so. It's like going to a restaurant and getting a plate of food with 2 green beans on and wondering where the rest of your meal is. Sometimes they're lovingly packaged though and when the music is good then you're into a winner. Also you get videos on there sometimes which you can watch on your computer. That is excellent.

'Just because you're christian doesn't mean you can't rock and roll'
