Datashock: S/T (Qbico) More from the latest handful of free-music releases from the outlandishly challenging but worthy label that knows no bounds. On coloured vinyl of the sludge variety, this is i'm told what our Ant tunes out to after a few too many Guinness's at about 3am most saturday mornings, only to wake up with is lad crawling all over him yelping for breakfast. This is some soundtrack, 'like a less heavy Robedoor' sez Ant. Outer harmonic layers, bee sting frequencies and carpet hugging textures are the main adjectives I can muster. If I was a freewheeling trustafarian with more money than sense, I'd spend my days keeping unfit, taking copius amounts of fine drugs listening to audio diamonds like this. Recommended!

"Last year i was particulary impressed by their 1st LP as Datashock and Shivers, this is a very promising and young collective from Germany. the music got some affinities with Double Leopards, Family Underground and The SB... deep"
