What the label says:

‘Hope’ is the second single to be released from Jack Johnson’s #1 album Sleep Through The Static.

‘Hope’ will be available as limited 7" vinyl with doublesided poster (Limited to 1000 x 7")

The b side is a Nightmares On Wax Remix of ‘Hope’.

The artwork was designed by Jeff Canham who is at the centre of the exciting San Francisco surfer/artist scene.

Jack Johnson headlines his very own concert in London’s Hyde Park on 2 July 2008, his biggest headline in the UK date with a capacity of 35K, which is close to selling out.

In addition to this mammoth headline show, Jack is also playing at Birmingham’s NIA on July 3rd, Newquay, Watergate Bay on July 5th and 6th and Manchester’s MEN Arena on 7th July.

The Newquay venue is situated on a stunning cliff top location overlooking Watergate Bay on the dramatic coastline of North Cornwall. The first Newquay show sold all 10K tickets in a few days so a second show was added.

Jack Johnson and crew have greened every aspect of their 2008 tour and are joining with non-profits worldwide to start-up a new interactive community, both online and at concerts, to inspire fans to be the change they want to see. The concept is simple: An individual action, multiplied by millions, creates global change. The community is called ALL AT ONCE, and can be accessed at www.jackjohnsonmusic.com. Fans can join Jack's community, take action, get free downloads and learn about other ways to reduce their environmental impact—like carpooling to the shows.

About the humble 7":

The humble 7" is the smallest of the vinyl formats (not including the ridiculous 5") and it's the perfect medium for transporting a couple of new songs by up and coming bands straight into your ears. They're fun and they take up less space in your house than something bigger would. They come in a plethora of exciting colours and fantastical packages, and you can fit about 14 minutes onto one 7". You may have to get up every few minutes to put a new record on but think of the exercise. Don't forget every record you buy plays at least 2 speeds (depending on your stereo) and you need to play all records on all speeds to get the maximum joy from your purchase.
