What the label says:

ON ITS UK RELEASE; THE LONG AWAITED DEBUT FROM LA'S HEALTH, WILL BLOW THE WHOLE NOISE GENRE OFF ITS PERCH; AS IF THE WHOLE NOISE GENRE SUDDENLY IMMERSED INTO A POP WORLD. JARRING NOISE MELDED WITH SYNTH POP BLASTS, TAKIGN CUES FROM WOLF EYES, YELLOW SWANS, CRYSTAL CASTLES, LIARS AND CREATING A WHOLE DISTINCTIVE BREW OF THEIR OWN, SHOWS EARLIER THIS YEAR GOT THE PARTY STARTED, 2008 IS WHEN THEY SLAY ALL COMERS. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

PRESS: ALREADY VOTED TOP 10 OF 2007 ON DROWNED IN SOUND, UK TOUR EARLIER THIS YEAR GOT PEOPLE EXCITED, PRESS IN UK BEING HANDLED BY GOLDSTAR (WOLF EYES, DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN, ETC): 8/10 DROWNED IN SOUND "AFTER 27 SECONDS OF HEALTHS DEBUT RECORD, DRUMS WAKE UP WITH A BANG. THE BANG JARS, THROWS YOUR HEAD BACK; ECHOING WITH A METALLIC CLANG THE DRUM AND STICK BECOME A JAW, THE BANG BECOMES YOUR DAGGER TEETH, SCRAPING DOWN AND BREAKING ON RUSTED SHRAPNEL. 'HEAVEN' BEGAN WITH SHIMMERING FEEDBACK, BUT THAT HAS BEEN SCATTERED AND NOW WASHES OVER THE WOKEN RHYTHM LIKE A MUTANT GRAVITY; HUNG HEAVY AND PHYSICAL WITH SOME GREEN EMISSION. THERES THE FIRST MOAN OF SENTIENT LIFE; A WAILING SOFTENS AND HARDENS WITH DRUMS THAT PICK UP AND PEPPER SPLASHES OF CYMBAL, PISS OR OIL MARKING TRACKS. IN HEAVEN'S CHIMING RISING THERES A FEELING OF INVENTION, FRESH TERRAIN BEING COVERED. AT ITS COMPLETION, IT SUDDENLY ALL FITS. HEALTH HAVE RAIZED A WORLD IN TWO MINUTES, 37 SECONDS. "

About the humble LP:

The LP is the daddy of formats. 12" inches of sheer joy. The LP adds to the glory of the 12" record as it can be played at a slower speed (33rpm instead of the usual 45rpm for singles), consequently more musical joy can be had. Played on a decent deck the sound of an LP is about a million times better than any other format. They look fantastic...... a nice gatefold sleeve with a information rich inner sleeve will keep you entertained for hours even before your stylus has chance to make eye contact with it's 12" prey. An essential part of musical heritage which will never be forgotten. It still does play at a multitude of speeds but as it's recorded to be played slower they normally sound ridiculous sped up. Though double albums can make up for this slight inadequacy by ramming more tunes into your ears for your money. Utterly essential.
