Now that his "metanarrative" album has at last been freed into the world, and that the long running "warehouse sessions" is about to come to a close
with the imminent release of its 5th volume, this 12" features the most recent material from Mark Stewart's archives. 'Rise' was written and produced
just a few weeks ago, having started life as an elongated gamelan track that went through several incarnations and variations before settling on this
relentless 11 minute mix. Gone are stewart's signature snares, in come all manner of miniscule percussive arrangements, panning drums and tempo
shifts that toy with the possibilities of restraint and reduction. We think its the most brilliantly f*cked up production from Mark Stewart yet, and by far his
most developed. Lovingly mastered at Berlin's D&M just a couple of weeks ago - this 12" comes in a limited edition pressing of just 500 copies for the
