We also have another Sunburned related project from Enos Slaughter. This features David Shuford (No Neck Blues Band, D. Charles Speer and The Helix), Marc Orleans (Sunburned Hand Of The Man, D. Charles Speer and The Helix) and Carter Thornton (Izititiz, Zashiki Warashi). 'Beisbol' is a double album on Three Lobed of free flowing avant/ improv that really wanders all over the place, completely unrestrained. The piano gives a bit of a jazz feel to proceedings. The guitar playing vary's from country sounds to folk and psyche. You really cant pin this one down...This baby is limited to 679 copies and comes with a CD featuring the tracks from the vinyl. What the label says: brainchild of david shuford (no neck blues band, d. charles speer and the helix), marc orleans (sunburned hand of the man, d. charles speer and the helix) and carter thornton (izititiz, zashiki warashi), /béisbol/ is a full-fledged continuation of the musical ideals that the band has previously set forth within /on  sunday, saloth sar /and /on the shores of jupiter/. this one will be from an edition of 679 copies and we're working on some more elaborate text for this one. we are doing the best we can to be totally oh-so-appropriate and have this one ready for release on MLB's opening day (but it might be a week afterwards - unsure as of this message). the record is pressed on two slabs of 180 gram RTI vinyl and packed within a theme-appropriate sleeve with two-sided full-color insert.  packed in with the record is a CD containing the material present on the vinyl for ease of listening at any time.

About the humble LP:

The LP is the daddy of formats. 12" inches of sheer joy. The LP adds to the glory of the 12" record as it can be played at a slower speed (33rpm instead of the usual 45rpm for singles), consequently more musical joy can be had. Played on a decent deck the sound of an LP is about a million times better than any other format. They look fantastic...... a nice gatefold sleeve with a information rich inner sleeve will keep you entertained for hours even before your stylus has chance to make eye contact with it's 12" prey. An essential part of musical heritage which will never be forgotten. It still does play at a multitude of speeds but as it's recorded to be played slower they normally sound ridiculous sped up. Though double albums can make up for this slight inadequacy by ramming more tunes into your ears for your money. Utterly essential.
