Malcolm Middleton / King Creosote
Blue Plastic Bags / Choir

This record left our Brian feeling happy.
Malcolm Middleton has his charming 'Blue Plastic Bags' out on blue vinyl with a King Creosote tune on the flip. I may have said so in the album review but this is music for the pub, humorous, melancholic, heart warming.....he's got the human touch has this Scot troubadour. It's a sad song all about being sad and getting a little squiffy to beat the blues as society is so uninspiring, only Dawson's Creek & some fags to boot will cure your ills. The other side has the Creosoter in rude form, his quaver becoming more Feargal Sharkey by the minute. His is a warm, enveloping thing that may appeal to fans of Alisdair Roberts too. A hugely comforting & re-assuring double header of barroom folk!!
