Danny And The Champions Of The World talk of music and brotherhood, good times and the cosmic yee-haa. Keep your eyes peeled and your ear to the ground - they say you can be a Champ too.  
It's the product of a summer spent roaming the countryside along with various friends including Oxford's Truck collective in the spirit of Ronnie Lane's Passing Show. Soon christened The Champions Of The World this travelling band of brothers and sisters were to be found playing impromptu festivals, club-nights and house parties across the land. Along the way they picked up the likes of Ryan Adams sidekick Neal Casal and members of Brakes, Electric Soft Parade, opened up for the Magic Numbers and backed Garth Hudson for The Band legend's Truck Festival and 100 Club shows.   Those who have caught glimpses of the Champs tell tales of a musical freedom, bizarre face paints, occasional moving pictures and something they call a "yesness". What this may be is anyone's guess but when asked to elaborate fans only shrug their shoulders and offer an enigmatic smile.
Some say they're the acoustic world's answer to the Black Mountain Army while others claim they invoke the spirit of The Grateful Dead. What is certain is that Danny Wilson has moved on and in doing so has found his true voice.
Danny And The Champions Of The World have a UK Tour scheduled for April 2008.
