What we say This record left our Ant feeling happy. I could have sworn that Blood Red Shoes had a female vocalist. Brian has just confirmed this so I'm not going mad their single 'Say Something Say Anything' has other boy half of the girl/boy duo stepping up to the mic. Clearly a talented pair, they have a good sound, bollocks and energy with catchy hooks. Decent indie rock band like... the production is very good and the track builds in intensity as they rock out. Like a melting pot of The Subways, Sleater Kinney, Forward Russia etc.. What the label says: Brighton duo Blood Red Shoes release their highly anticipated debut album 'Box Of Secrets' on 14th April. About the humble CD single:

Another digital format and even though they can hold 80 minutes of information (like a CD album would) record companies only fill up a small portion of the disc. Sometimes only 1 or 2 tracks on there totalling 5 minutes or so. It's like going to a restaurant and getting a plate of food with 2 green beans on and wondering where the rest of your meal is. Sometimes they're lovingly packaged though and when the music is good then you're into a winner. Also you get videos on there sometimes which you can watch on your computer. That is excellent.
