The Dirty Backbeats I know nowt about. The have a single called 'To The Dogs' They sound like gibbering blues rock to me. Like Archie Bronson on meth with a splodge of Captain Beefheart. 'To The Dogs' is lo-fi, freewheeling & a little chaotic. I could imagine them being an absolute delight live, tight yet free rock with a liberal dose of wonky love! if you like odd old 7"s then you may just want this banana shaped dog whistle of a disc.

The Dirty Backbeats release a follow up to the Mark Lamarr endorsed "The Bop" in the form of "To the dogs". Recorded by Gavin Monaghan (Kings of Leon, Editors), this blend of rockabilly shuffle, wired sing-a-long chorus and vocal histrionics provide the most accessible Backbeats release to date.Featured in Mark Lamarr's end of year round-up after a memorable Radio 2 session, the band have recieved continued airplay from Steve Lamacq, Huw Stephens,
Marc Riley and Rob Da Bank. "Superbly out-there fractured sound" – Metro… "Awesome garage rock" - The Fly
