Jack Dangers has been blowing my wonky horn for years now. Even before I was really into electronic music I was a massive fan of Meat Beat Manifesto... I remember buying Storm The Studio when it came out.... ah them were the days like.... Here he is on Planet Mu which I initially felt was weird but after listening to Lonely Solider I can totally see it. It's by far the grimiest track on the album with it's thick dirge-y dub bass line running through the guts of the tune. Big slow crashing hip hop beats..... Jack Dangers always uses great breaks... bless him.... with loads of weird spacey sounds all over the shop and some nugget saying he's a lonely soldier. The only war he's probably seen is on his 48 inch plasma whilst eating crisps and drinking wine. This rules and you're so gonna want the album when it comes out. What the label says:"Lonely Soldier" is the new single from seminal electronic band MEAT BEAT MANIFESTO (MBM). |
