Yellow Swans are most famous for being friends with Ant on his myspace page and making various styles of fuzzy, malevolent noise. On this split LP with Ex(ocaine, they offer up the sound of a tramp's head mangled on special brew in a subway before some acid cadet lands nearby and starts busking with some hollow, trashed stratocaster whilst tripping off into no-wave psych noise heaven. Then the tramp starts manipulating an old bashed up noise box Prurient dropped accidently into his McDonalds polystyrene beaker and the two spannered hobos make an unholy desolate dirge, squalling forth like a sozzled swarm of neo-industrial bees. Yeah, that good. Just the one track. that's all you need bitch. The Ex(ocaine side is two tunes that sound like they may have fallen out of Sun City Girls pocket a few years back. Meandering discordance like a pair of drunken guitar strings having a to-do in an alleyway whilst Mr Percussion is mending a skirting board on the 3rd floor with a fossilised pigeon. All this plus a drum group from Rhythmongers Inc. practice in his kitchen. Ant, a man of much knoise-knowledge suggests Wooden Shijpzsssssssssss but I beg to differ. A little like a lead yacht with wrapped up in tinsel then set on fire in a jungle. Fans of 'The End' by Fat Jimbo & pals may dig this free psych opium den mess. I rather like-ee too!EX-C SIDE IS 2 TRACKS (ONE'S A MEAT PUPPETS COVER!), THE YS SIDEIS ONE 16 MINUTE MONSTER. THE LP IS MASTERED BY PETE SWANSON AND FEATURESFULL-COLOR ARTWORK BY MAYA MILLER (RELIGIOUS KNIVES, DOUBLE LEOPARDS,ETC). HALF WILL BE ON COLORED VINYL, HALF ON BLACK. EDITION OF 600.
