Computerclub... Those were the days... lunchtimes at school spent playing role playing games on early BBC machines and programming in basic... So Computerclub are a band and they have a single out called 'Electrons & Particles' that might appeal to fans of The Editors. You know the score... euphoric polished gear. That's as much as I can muster on that one.Follow up UK single to ‘Snobs’ for the Birmingham based 4 piece with a very strong local following. Album being recorded at the moment for ’08 release through Split. The band have had major supports with: Kooks, Editors, Alterkicks, Automatic, The Twang and recently performed a Headline, televised slot @ Iceland Airwaves Festival in Oct ’07.
‘Electrons’ is produced by: Paul Corkett [Producer of Placebo’s ‘Blackmarket Music’, last 2 Cure albums, + Nick Cave, Radiohead, Bjork etc]. A massive fan of the band and recorded and produced it at Moles in Bath. He is producing their forthcoming album which is being recorded at the moment.
Last single ‘Snobs’ received excellent press including a Music Week single, Artrocker single reviews & Fly live review. A full press campaign by Loki is underway with 250 copies serviced. Artrocker & Fly single review confirmed. More press to follow. Anglo Plugging servicing national & regional radio + national tv for video. ¼ page ad confirmed in Artrocker April 2008: ‘Finely crafted, subtely epic, while simultaneously moody & uplifting’ – MUSIC WEEK
